We have chosen this bracelet for its unusual and attractive chromatic combination of rock crystal, jade and blue enamel, which we find very effective.

This is a fine and very collectible example of French Art Deco jewellery at its best.
The three pierced jade plaques would probably have been carved in Canton at the turn of the 20th century and then exported to Europe in the 1920s where they were starting to be in high demand among artist jewellers seeking exoticism.
Although jade had always been the most important gem material in China it was relatively unknown in Europe until after the First World War.

Designed as three soft-cornered square-shaped plaques, each embellished with a pierced and carved jadeite annular centre of floral inspiration, within a blue enamel border superimposed by brilliant-cut diamond foliate detail accented with black enamel, each with two ruby cabochons placed at different angles, between rectangular-shaped faceted milky chalcedony links, 1928
